Import Music

CoverJock must import the tag information for music files and video files into it's own libraries for speed. There are three ways to add music into CoverJock, first is manually from a local drive, second is from plugging in a USB device and the third is to automatically add it.

Manually Import Music

Want to manually import music into CoverJock? Here's how:

Method 1

  1. Open the back office, then tap or click on the Options button at the top.

  2. In the options screen tap or click the button Search Music. The import music wizard will show, asking:

  3. First question: what to do with the music on each drive;
(Copy to Local Drive, Keep on Drive and Do not use Drive)

  4. Second question: where do you want the music to be added to
(Add to Playlist or/and add to dancer's playlist.)

  5. Third Process: Search for music on all drives.

  6. Fourth process: Import playlists from iTunes, BPM Studio, Virtual DJ, DRS, M3U playlists, LST playlists or WPL playlists.

  7. Final process: show a summary of what has been added.

Method 2

  1. Open the back office, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Drag the files or folders onto the artwork in the bottom left hand corner.

  3. First question: where do you want the music to be added to
(Add to Playlist or/and add to dancer's playlist.)

  4. Third Process: Search and load music.

  5. Fourth process: show a summary of what has been added.

Note

There is a background process that automatically monitors for any new music added to the My Music directory.

Importing Music From an External Device

Want to import music from an external device? Here's how:

  1. Plug in the memory stick or external device.
(CoverJock automatically monitors for any new USB device)

  2. A prompt will appear asking to Search for Music?
(Select Yes to add all the tracks from the device into CoverJock)

  3. First question: where do you want the music to be added to
(Add to Playlist or/and add to dancer's playlist.)

  4. Third Process: Search and load music.
Fourth process: show a summary of what has been added.

Note

If the device is greater than 50Gb in space, CoverJock presumes the tracks are to stay on this device. If the device is unplugged and the option to Keep on Device is selected, the tracks will not be found.

Importing Music From a CD

  1. Insert a music CD into the CD ROM drive.
(CoverJock automatically monitors for any new CD inserted and checks for music files)

  2. Enter the artist, album and track information if needed then tap or click Rip Now.

  3. Once the CD has finished ripping, it opens the CD drawer and asks if you want to rip another CD. Repeat this process until you have finished.

Note

As long as you're on the internet, CoverJock reads from the CDDB database of albums and if the CD is found all the track information is entered automatically for you.

If the CDDB website doesn't have the CD information you can manually go through each track and fill in the details.
