Manage Your Music

Managing your music is paramount from selecting the right music to rearranging your live playlist. In this support topic we will cover moving your music around, banning songs never to play again and searching for music to add to the live playlist.

 

 

Managing Functions

 

Move a Track Up and DownMove a Track Up and Down

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Below the live playlist is Move Up and Move Down buttons, tap or click the relevant button.

  3. Alternatively right click on a track, within the popup menu is Move Up and Move Down

 

Note

You can't move a track above the currently playing track due to the fact that anything before now is historic.

 

Play NextPlay Next

 

If there is a track or tracks in the live playlist that you would like to play after the current song is playing, you would use this function.

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Below the live playlist is Play Next, tap or click this button.

  3. Alternatively right click on a track, within the popup menu is Play Next

 

Note

If there is a pole show in progress, the play next function will move the selected tracks after the dancers songs.

 

Group Tracks TogetherGroup Tracks Together

 

If there are tracks in different locations in the live playlist that you want to group together, use this function.

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Multi select the tracks by holding your finger down on the Ctrl button then clicking the tracks.

  3. Right click on on of the selected tracks and tap or click Group Tracks Together.

 

Note

You can't group up tracks above the currently playing track due to the fact that anything before now is historic.

 

Deactivate TracksDeactivate Tracks

 

On occasion it is necessary to completely ban a track to ever playing in CoverJock. This maybe due to a poor quality track or a track that shouldn't be played because of the type of club.

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Below the live playlist is Ban Song buttons, tap or click this button.

  3. Alternatively right click on a track, within the popup menu is Move Up and Move Down

 

Tip

Once you've banned a track it removes all future tracks found in the live playlist plus it won't allow a dancer to select the track.

 

Remove an Inactive TracksRemove an Inactive Tracks

 

If a track has been banned and you want to remove the ban, use this function:

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. In the advanced search below the live playlist search for the track. The track will be highlighted red to indicate it's banned.

  3. Right click on the track and select Remove Ban.

 

Note

Removing the ban will release it so that it can be added to the live playlist and the dancers can dance to that track.

 

Save as a PlaylistSave as a Playlist

 

If the live playlist track selection is what you are after and want to save this list as a specific playlist, here's how to do it:

 

  1. Open CoverJock, then tap or click on the Now Playing tab.

  2. Right click any track in the live playlist.

  3. Select Save as a Playlist.

  4. A prompt will appear asking for a new playlist name, this is defaulted to Playlist %SystemDate%.

 

Tip

When saving the playlist, it saves the tracks in the exact order they are currently placed in.
