Stage Call Settings

These set of options are to define how the dancers are to be called to stage, when dancers are to be called and how long they have to get from where they are to the CoverJock station.

Play Stage Calls

There are different ways to let the dancers know when they're next on stage. This option will call the dancer to the DJ before she is due on stage. A certain amount of seconds later it will call again and again.

Use this dialog box to set automatic rules to run when a select number of dancers are in the rotation:

 

  • Song Gap
  • Dance to # Songs
  • Turn on/off Auto DJ
  • Turn on/off Auto Calls

    • Set # dancers per stage

1st Stage Call Extension

The DJ will say the selection on the first stage call after the dancers name.

Nothing, Coming up, Get here, Get ready, Next, Next on stage, Ready, Standby, ToTheDJ, You saucy minx

2nd Stage Call Extension

The DJ will say the selection on the second stage call after the dancers name.

3rd+ Stage Call Extension

The DJ will say the selection on any stage call after and including the third call after the dancers name.

Play Intros

Tick this setting to play introductions when the dancer(s) go on stage.

Tick this setting to play an outro when the   dancer(s) come off stage.

Play Stage Names

Tick this setting to play the stage name when multiple stages are enabled.

 

Please note: this will also enable/disable the switch call for moving between stages on Round the Houses.

Introduce dancers on all stages when Auto Stage Call is activated

Tick this setting when multiple stages are in use and "Round the Houses" is active, to add a dancer to each stage all at once, instead of starting at the first stage.

Allow word "tips" to be used within the introductions

This option is used for clubs who are not allowed to announce tips within their club - this rule has been enforced in some states in the USA. Un-tick this box to not mention anything to do with tips or tipping the dancers.

Play announcement to say what current song the dancer is on

Tick this box to automatically play an announcement by the DJ to say what current song the dancer is on.

 

For example if the dancer is dancing to 3 songs and they are on song #2, the DJ will say something like "wrapping up your first song, 2nd song of a 3 song set starting right now".

Play phrase "Rotation Update" when swapping dancers

When a dancer is swapped to go on stage instead, an announcement will be played, for example "Rotation Update, Sarah you're 3 away from the main stage". If this option is not checked, it will remove the "Rotation Update" wording and play the rest.

Play "up-sell" after outro

After the outro of the dancer on stage, CoverJock can announce an up-sell broadcast, for example "Available for some intimate VIP time" or "Now available for some 1 on 1 time"

Play gap song on completed rotation

During a constant stage show and when the rotation is complete, tick this box to set the song gap at this time to be a one song gap.

Play gap song on completed rotation (slider)

Use the slider to set how long the gap song between completed rotation should be.

Range: 20 seconds - 15 minutes
Default: 1 minute

Play gap song on constant stage show

To allow the dancers extra time to pick up their tips for example, tick this option to insert a gap song during a constant stage show.

Use the slider to set how long the gap song between constant stage shows should be.

Range: 20 seconds - 15 minutes
Default: 30 seconds

Automatically Select Different Stage

When multiple stages are enabled, check this option to select a different stage for a dancer to go on

 

i.e. if they have just danced on stage #1, they will get called onto stage #2 then stage #3 and so on, where possible

Stages & Names

 

Button

What it does

Set Stage Count

Press this button and set between 1-12 how many stage there are in the venue.

Reset All Names

Use this button to reset all stage names back to system default i.e. Main Stage, Stage 2, Stage 3 etc.

Rename

Select a stage then press the Rename button to set a name for the stage.

 

Please note: this automatically sends a request through to your DJ to record the new stage name(s).

Clear Name

To set a specific stage name back to default, select the stage then press the Clear Name button.

 

3-2-1 Away Call Method

How many stage calls do you want to play (slider)

When a Dancer is called to the DJ, the Dancer is given a number of opportunities to answer the stage call. Use this option to set how many calls should be made to the next available Dancer in the Dancer's list before moving to call the next Dancer.

Range: 1 - 10 calls
Default: 3 calls

Time from Stage Call to Stage Call (slider)

When a Dancer is called to the stage, CoverJock automatically keeps calling the Dancer if the Dancer does not tell the system she is ready. This setting is the time between calling the Dancer and calling again.

Range: 30 seconds - 4 minutes
Default: 60 seconds

How long for the dancers to get prepared (slider)

Once the Dancer has press the button and selected the songs to dance to, this setting is to give the Dancer a countdown to get from the DJ booth (or wherever the CoverJock main unit is) to the stage.

 

Note: this is also used in case the Dancer needs to get changed before going on stage, so be aware of the timings so the Dancers have enough, but not too much time to get on stage.

Range: 2 seconds - 4 minutes
Default: 30 seconds

How long to call dancers before pole show (slider)

Before the dancer is due to go on stage, use this setting to start calling the dancer in seconds.

Range: 9 seconds - 4 minutes
Default: 2 minutes

Play 3-2-1 away reminders

Important there are different ways to let the dancers know when they're next on stage. This option will tell the dancers they are 3 away then 2 away then 1 away.

How many away to call

This option is only active if Play 3-2-1 away is enabled use this setting to set how many away calls the DJ is to perform. For example to give the dancers enough opportunity to hear the stage call and get to the stage 3 stage calls is a good option. 

 

Please note this option is only for the first dancer to go on stage, thereafter CoverJock automatically calls the next dancer with a maximum of 3 away.

Range: 1 - 4 away calls
Default: 2 away calls

Announce stage names on away calls

When multi-stages are enabled, the DJ will announce which stage the dancer(s) are going to, alternatively the DJ just announces the dancer(s) names to the DJ.

 

Use this option to set how many away calls you want the DJ to announce the stage names with the dancer(s) names.

Range: 1 - 4 away calls
Default: 1 away call

Always announce stage name on stage calls

Check this option to always announce the stage name, if multiple stages are used on every stage call. Note: if you don't check this option, the stage name will be announced on the final stage call.

Wait for the current song to finish when dancer is waiting

Important there are two ways to get a dancer on stage (depending on which type of stage process you decide). One way is to call the dancer to the DJ, once she checks in she has to wait for the current song to finish - tick this box to accomplish this. The second way is to introduce the dancer straight away after check-in, giving them an amount of seconds to get to the stage.

How many stages does your club have (slider)

Use the slider to set how many stages or areas your club has. Only use a stage or area if you want CoverJock to introduce dancers on that stage or area. Click here to read more about stage control.

Multiple Stage Settings

Allocate to new active stage

Choose what to do when a stage has been activate.

 

Keep on same stage: pulls the dancers from the active stages keeping the dancers on the same stage - this would get the last dancers from each stage and move them to the new stage.

 

Unzip current stages: this option unzips each stage getting every other dancer to fill the new stage.

Choose how you want the system to do when a dancer checks in.

 

Keep stages balanced: CoverJock will assess how many dancers are in each stage and allocate the dancer to the one with the least in.
